Karen was initially placed on the Umlilo tribe. She immediately formed an alliance with Angelica Shihwa, Devin Rimbone, Godfrey Augustine and Kevin LaFassi. When the tribe lost immunity, the majority decided to blindside Hermon Wautz in an erratic 4-3-1-1 vote. Karen received a vote from Cecilia Ausburn, who didn't seem to like her. When the tribe lost immunity again, everyone was on board with voting out Xandros Ariti.
Karen was able to reach the swap. After being swapped to Amanzi, she would end up being joined by Cecilia, Godfrey and Kevin from her old tribe as well as Marian Zeltner, Omar Zoltner and Phoenix Fawkes from the original Amanzi tribe. When the tribe lost immunity, Marian and Omar immediately targeted each other. The original Umlilos sided with Marian and Phoenix to vote Omar out unanimously.
Karen was able to reach the merge. At the merge, the original Umlilos seemingly had the majority. They ended up targeting Laura Upwhisk for being the least likely to have a Hidden Immunity Idol played on her. However, after Joachimlaey DeMacabrevelum decided to flip on her and Cecilia Ausburn cast a throwaway vote on Kevin LaFassi to prevent a 0-0 tie, Karen was blindsided in a 6-5-1 vote, sending her to Redemption Island. When it came time for the first post-merge duel, she ended up outlasting Cecilia but dropped out soon afterwards, eliminating her in 11th place. She was the second member of the jury. She ultimately voted for Storm Elison to win the game, which he did.
